Hi Jim and welcome to the DPNow forums. To my knowledge we have one other member that is interested in U/W photography, infact he once won a competition here where he won a camera he uses underwater.

What sort of camera gear do you use for your photography?

I use a Fuji E900 in an Ikelite housing with Inon D-2000 flash guns and Inon CU and WA lenses.

Welcome, Jim - I'm a rather rusty and not that accomplished Padi diver

Only every taken diving pictures using disposable film cameras - though I was surprised at how well the pictures turned out.

Looking forward to seeing some of yours!

There are a couple of others on here that are interested in underwater photography as well.

Haha, wish I'd never asked the only thing I recognise there is 'Fuji'

The E900 is a compact model launched in the middle of last year. Not tried one in anger, but it was quite nice to hold. Just seen some of Jim's shot in his gallery - very nice

              Hello, Jim,

I took a class from Raul Touzon at the Santa Fe Photographic Workshops. Raul is also a partner in a diving school/ underwater photography school. His website is www.touzonphoto.com. I bet he could give you some good advice. Feel free to mention my name: Joe Eder. I was in the first class he taught at Santa Fe, and he is OUTSTANDING! He is also the administrator for the Santa Fe Workshops they run in San Miguel D'allende(SP?), Mexico. He has also done work for Nat'l Geo, etc., so some people think he knows what he's doing.

              Joe
