  • Saying Hello and asking for some advice

    Hey guys!

Just joined the forum and I am enjoying it so far. I am Jeremy and currently working as a lay-out designer in a printing company. I am into photography and just bought a new buddy: Nikon D5000. I was quite new with the specs of Nikon since I used to handle Canon cameras before. I wish I could seek some advice on basic techniques, warnings or any helpful thoughts regarding the use of my newest companion. Thanks and God Bless!

    Regards,
    Jeremy

Hi Steve, and please accept a very warm welcome here on the DPNow forum. Your name doesn't sound very Chinese Are you an ex-pat?

We're always happy to help! One thing that is very different between Nikons and Canons is the user interface - the buttons and layout plus the menus are very confusing when switching from one system to another - have you had this problem?

Which Canon did you use before the D5000?

If you can be a bit more specific about what you want to achieve with the D5000 then it will be easier for use to help

        Hi Steve and welcome.
Being a Canon person can't help with your problem but I'm sure others will be able to.
