Head full of cold!

Just wanted to apologise for the low profile - I seem to have caught a nasty head and chest cold off Julia (although she is much worse and has been suffering it since before Christmas and is seeing the doc tomorrow). And to cap it all my desktop PC at the office won't boot - probably because the CMOS battery went flat over the break. Plus broadband issues at home mean it'[s up and down like a yoyo and Virgin reckon it could be like that until the end of the week. What a great start to the year!

My old Gran had lots of cures for colds, most of which involved alcohol in one form or another

Not sure if it actually made it better or if you simply cared less about it...

Hopefully all will improve rapidly for both of you.

Oh dear. That sort of cold, congestion and chesty, is horrible.

It's foul weather anyway so just take it easy for a few days and I hope you're all feeling better soon.

Morning all - still no improvement cold-wise but at least I managed to get the PC booted up here at the office after resetting the CMOS memory

Assuring to hear that you didn't pass your virus to the puter

Drink lots ... anything will do .... and rest up as much as possible. By the weekend you should both be on the way to a full recovery
