Hello from a Newbie

Hello

First time I have joined any forum so please be patient and understanding if I muck things up and put things in the wrong place.

I have joined to learn more about digital photography and to give me more motivation to use my camera. I have looked with interest at the various themes that are covered. I also hope that the more experienced photographers amongst you will offer advice and constructive criticism.

I am an avid user of Linux though I appreciate the power and versatility of windows software I have neither the money nor the wish to line Bill's pockets any more. So I am learning to use linux based manipulation and photo management software.

I look forward to contributing and learning.

Hi there thanks for joining the forum, you will find it very educational and at times very amusing.
Im also from yorkshire and look forward to seeing some photography from yourself!
