  • New Guy

Hello from Austin, Texas. I have been a visitor to the forum in the past but have finally decided to get a log in and participate.

I have been into photography for a long time. My first B&W darkroom was in high school. After 30 yrs of "playing" with my photography and working for the man I have decided to attempt a bridge to retirement by seeing if I could get paid for my photography. Still working for the man, at least for now, but spending my nights and weekends doing some of the thing I really enjoy. You can check out some of my work at www.inmotionfotos.com but I plan on posting a few for feedback and picking some of the brains on the forum.

My primary focus for my business is currently weddings and portraits but I enjoy all facets of photography. Just got back from a trip to Prague last month and Venice and Rome last year and love travel photography.

I am all digital these days after years with film. Started with a Canon 20D and stepped up to a 5D for the wedding work.

I am looking forward to being part of the group and hearing from all of you.

    Re: New Guy

Hi Mark, and welcome to the DPNow forums. Seems to me you could be teaching a few things to folk here yourself

Please feel free to contribute in any way you can and there is still time for an entry in the Salon Competition, with a 2GB memory card up for grabs

Hi Mark - you are most welcome and I'm reliably informed you have a most impressive repertoire of images! We'd be honoured if you would share some of them with us here on DPNow

          Re: New Guy

Hello Mark from an amateur (still workin' for The Man, too ),

My brother got his degree near Austin at Southwest Texas (State or University?) in San Marcos, but he's not a photographer so I still don't know what it looks like around there. Maybe you could show us...

Excellent website and photography. Looks like you've already made a good start at making a living at it.
