call me a cynic, but as long as there are moving parts or openings on anything that goes underwater then it's a safe bet that someone will manage to flood it. now, if the battery was charged by inductive loop and the memory card were sealed inside the camera and all comms were done through bluetooth etc then it would be a whole lot less floodable.
one hair or one grain of sand is enough to break a seal and kill the camera.

there's always faffing about with underwater cameras, unless you want to see the camera fry itself accompanied with a cry of "i don't know what happened!"...just look at some of the reviews on the olympus & pentax WP ranges on dpreview.
