I updated a few days ago and discovered there's also nice new feature included.

When you set the resolution, by clicking on the blue line along the bottom, a window opens that gives you oprions for choosing setting for high gloss, matte, screen or normal/standard sharpening.

The setting remains constant for the entire folder you're working from - so be sure to check if you might want to change the setting for a specific pic within that older.

Nice feature - I like it.

Lightroom 2.3 has something similar in its Export dialogue.

As for the ACR update, its not available as an automatic update yet as its only for testing at this stage. I think I can wait till its available as a full release and I'm prompted to update to it.

Maybe I'm wrong then? I just happened to notice a large Adobe update happening a few days ago and I happened to notice there was an ACR update on the list.

A day later I was opening RAW files from the new 20D when I went down to reset the resolution to 300 dpi - and that's when I noticed options available that I hadn't spotted previously.

I'm wondering now if I do in fact have ACR 5.4 or maybe I just hadn't noticed the full range of CS4 workflow options before now? I do occasionally open CS3 by mistake so maybe my ACR comparisons are between CS3 and CS4?

Anyway - I'm attaching a screenshot I just took in CS4, which shows the choice of the paper drop-down menu. The amount, size and depth choices are also wider.

Pol, the workflow options you mention are exactly the same in my version of ACR, so obviously its not something new in V5.4. The info Adobe give doesn't mention it either.

Anyway at least you have found something new that you didn't know existed before so that's good I reckon
