How cool is this? A wild fox that trusts you enough to be the subject of a back garden photo shoot? It's true and you can see the proud young beast in today's DPNow Picture of the Day. You, too, could be the proud bearer of a DPNow POTD. Start a free photo gallery on DPNow and one of your pictures could be selected soon.
Delightful Fox pictures, also an excellent 'Foxy' website from Words. Very informative website too, thanks. I've bookmarked it.
We have foxes coming and going too, but they always take off pronto if and when they hear or see the slightest movement. They'll even run off if they see or hear curtains or window opening, no mater how cautious we try to be. We did have a slightly more confident one 3-4 years ago - had the confidence to have a quick look at me through the patio window, but it was only a quick glance then he was off!
I no longer attempt photographing any of them but just enjoy watching from time to time. They usually only visit between midnight and 4.00 am and I only know they've arrived as they trigger the security lights. They have been known to mate noisily on the back lawn too, at around 3-00am.
Another time, a fox and a badger arrived together and seemed quite happy to look for grubs side by side!
