Do you think this figure includes the EF-S lenses as surely more of these are sold these days.

I can't imagine it would exclude EF-S, as these are the bulk of sales of cameras with kit lenses, for example.

I have some other figures for DSLR and lens sales as a whole - I will post this later today.

The CIPA market research data for camera and lens sales in 2009, and 2010 projections, is now online here:

While there were just under 10 million DSLR (and hybrid) camera sales in 2009 (out of a total digital camera market of over 100 million), there were 16 million lens sales.

I'd guess 8-9 million were sales of kit lenses bundled with new cameras, and the rest must be stand-alone lens sales.
