Just when you became used to Lightroom 3, Adobe introduces Lightroom 3! Well, at least in public beta form

I'm quite curious to know tempted existing users would be to upgrade? Has anyone downloaded the beta yet?

I have hardly got to know Lightroom 2 yet, I may opt out for this issue.

Being a big user and fan of Lightroom, I'll definitely be upgrading. The new features mentioned in your preview article will certainly be welcome, and I'll also be heading over to the NAPP site to see what the boys have to say about it.

I'd suggest Dennis holds back on the LR2 book

I'm very interested in the revised watermarking facilities - I thought these were rather limited until now.

Even on my desktop PC, which is relatively quick, Lightroom 2.5 does pause noticeably when doing various things, so if they can speed things up there, that would be welcome.

I do agree that sharpening can always be improved, though I haven't noticed any real issues with colour noise. Luminance noise reduction in LR2.5 is not as accomplished as some of the 3rd party noise management utilities.

It looks like Everyone will have to pay for this update, when it is finally shipped after the beta period.
