Just spent an enjoyable time looking at your website David, you have some stunning images there, though this POTD photo seems a different style for you. Congratulations anyway its a great capture of a beautiful bird

I love this picture and keep going back for another look at it. It's everything a bird picture should be imho.

Beautiful framing with background colours and dof blending together to show the bird to perfection within its environment. The exposure is also spot on, not so much as a hint of burn out in the white areas and the gradual change of tones from white, across the golden feathers and over into the grey is sublime!

The icing on the top just has to be the expression on the little bird's face. So proud and so certain it's a little beauty.
