It's quite remarkable that Sony is putting so much publicity effort into promoting..... sensor technology.

But you have to hand it to them, the Exmor CMOS sensor technology they have developed is very impressive.

I still haven't worked out how the video clip Sony is running to promote the events next week relate to shooting in low light. If you do work it out, please let me know!

In the early days of photography we took pictures out in the light and then went into the dark to finish them up.
Now, it seems that we want to do the oposite. What is this fascination with darkness that we want to record it? Is it that we think we can find more good light in the dark?
Most likely all this High ISO performance demand and more sensative sensor designs are an expression of our hatred of flash.....and its limitations...

I was about to comment on it being the 22nd and then It dawned on me that 11:30 AM in Texas probably wasn't twilight anywhere.......
