Re: Camera Grand Prix 2007: K10D
Thanks for this information, Yoshi. Is there any information concerning the way these votes were decided on and who were eligible to vote?
If the Sony Alpha only came 3rd, why did it get a special prize? I'm a bit surprised not to see the Canon EOS-1D Mark III in there, too.
Do you have last year's results? That would be interesting

Re: Camera Grand Prix 2007: K10D
While searching, I found their official site. I think their official site answers to your questions.
A clicking leads you to Japanese version and on the left hand side, you will find " New (English) - Camera Grand Prix 2007".
The coming Canon 1D mark III is to be introduced on May 31st here, so it must be the candidate for the next year selection. The cameras introduced during the period of April 1st and March 31st of the following year are subject to the nomination.
BTW Canon says so many pre-orders for the new model by now.
About the Alpha 100, the reason is explained in detail at the site in English. To put it simply, Sony's entry to DSLR markets attracted huge social attention to DSLR than before.- so contributed a lot.

p.s. No typo but a strange smiley appears for "eight". (I have corrected this by enabling 'disable smileys in the 'Advanced' edit mode. - Ian)Last edited by Ian; 19-05-07, 09:10 AM.
