    I posted a link to this news on Facebook and it attracted almost five times more interest than the K-500. Weather-resistance is the key, methinks!

      Why aren't more cameras moisture and dust sealed like the K-50. OK I hear you say - expense - well, maybe but there are cheap cameras that are and lots of expensive ones that aren't.

      Same goes for smartphones - I can only think of a couple of models from Panasonic and Motorola that will survive a dunking.
