    Leica has taken the wraps off its new mid-range compact camera, hinted at as the Leica M Mini, its official name is the Leica Vario X and it comes with a 16.1 effective megapixel sensor and an 18-46mm (28-70mm equivalent) f/3.5-6.4mm standard zoom lens. We have the technical specifications.

    Right, hands-up who was expecting the Leica 'M Mini' (or Mini M) to be a mirrorless compact system camera with interchangeable lenses. It doesn't look like this is one and neither does it have a full frame sensor - it's APS-C. Basically it's a grown up Leica X2...

      No hand up here. Leica does have a minimal production capacity compare to Asian competators, so they seem to create products that will not stress their capacities
