Here is a summary or excerpt from an article that has just been published on DPNow:
We present our hands-on first impressions of the new Panasonic G Micro baby, the DMC-GF6, complete with wifi, NFC, a new capacitive touch tilting screen, 16MP sensor and more, including a product photo gallery and initial low light image samples to download!
The WiFi transfer and control is of particular interest and I'm forever hopeful that other manufactures will introduce it.
The NFC could prove to be useful for those with a smartphone in the shirt pocket and the camera streaming the images/video for the phone to send off to wherever it's wanted.
Maybe I need to write a "app" that scans for its connected camera and automatically sends the images to a preselected "cloud" as each image is taken.
Graham, there are already apps that do that - if I take a picture on my Android smartphone, something (probably Google, but I am not sure) copies it to the cloud automatically when there is a wifi connection available.
I haven't tried it yet, but there is the promise of a live view on your smartphone while controlling the camera

Considering the multitude of "apps" that are out there already, coming up with something new, yet alone useful and not full of adverts, can be quite difficult.
I did a range test on the FlashAir card to an iPhone and was more than happy with the 10m I got inside the house.
The live view and control on a smartphone will be very useful for me, but I don't think there will be many that will use it. What will be useful to some more people, will be if they implement control systems that can trigger the camera on changes to the live view. This is similar to what TriggerTrap can do, but that uses the smartphone camera to detect the change, rather than the camera. This will be good for catching wildlife (or even trained animals )
I look forward to seeing your reports on this aspect of the GF6.
