As a long time serving member of the forum I am very pleased that last managed to achieve fame on POTD. I never expected that this very simple straight forward portrait stood any chance so I am very 'chuffed' as they say. !!

I'm pretty sure one of your earlier ones, the carpet cleaner from India?, was a POTD.

I think you deserve credit for identifying a photogenic subject and then actually taking the picture. I know that all too many times I have seen something that would make a great picture and then dithered and the moment and opportunity was lost.

Technically, there are some things to suggest with your image here, but that shouldn't detract from a very good basic subject you have captured.
