  • DxO adds lens data to its DxoMark test site

Here is a summary or excerpt from an article that has just been published on DPNow:

Paris-based DxO, of DxO Analyzer and Optics Pro fame, has unveiled a major upgrade to its online DxOMark digital imaging test data resource database. In addition to camera sensor raw file quality measurements, from this week DxOMark now includes lens test data for popular DSLR camera systems. But that's not all; you can see how a given lens performs when used with a range of compatible camera bodies. We have been exploring the possibilities of the DxOMark upgrade.

Glad you're a DxO convert Ian

Yes I'm still alive and well and sincere apologies for disappearing so unceremoniously! It's a long story that I won't bore you with (and no, I wasn't suddenly detained by Her Majesty ) but having been made redundant recently I've blown the dust of my camera gear and started shooting again...nice to be back.

    Now slobbering over a 7D......j

        You usually manage, eh.

It's very nice to see you again too, Stuart.

Great to see you back Stuart, I can honestly say we have really missed you!

Trouble is Pol, 'er indoors is now the breadwinner and I'm having to do all the housework* so "'er indoors" has effectively transmogrified into "she who must be obeyed" - not so easy to get my own way now

            * although I'm still not allowed to drive the washing machine - it's too complicated for me apparently! If I could just grasp something she refers to as "sorting colours".....

It really is just so good to have you back!

When I first met David (we worked together) he'd done his washing at the laundrette and he'd boiled everything, including his own, very smart, expensive new Blazer. He thought everything had to be boiled to get it properly clean y'see.

As if that wasn't bad enough he dried everything at top heat in a commercial tumble drier. He came to work in a badly shrunk blazer with the sleeves tight and up to his elbows. Everybody was polite and pretended not to notice apart from me who was peeing myself laughing at him, tears streaming down my face.

I've always been impressed by DxO - we've used their test kit for several years, and I've even been to their HQ in Paris
