  • DPNow.com Picture of the Day Monday 22nd March 2010

Here is a summary of today's DPNow Picture of the Day:

A cricket perched on a pink oxalis bloom; a celebration of mellow natural greens and complementary pink, with the interesting focal point of an equally green insect. A macro study to be proud of!

Oh wow - thanks for the nomination and comments from devilgas. Also to Ian for the POTD + comments.

That's a Bush Cricket sitting in the Oxalis and I took it maybe 3-4 years ago with the Pentax *istD iirc. It was also one of the first shots I'd taken using what was then my brand new Pentax Macro Ring flashgun.

That's a well deserved photograph for POTD.
