  • Presents FROM photographers

OK so we have all said what we would like to receive as presents - now how about ideas for presents to give - using our photographic skills.

Not having a colour printer I have decided to make calendars for my Buddhist friends from photos which I have converted into B&W

Here are a few of my favs - there are some more in one of my albums in the gallery.

    Nice idea!

For a couple of freinds and relatives, I got some photobooks made up (got mine from Photobox) one set of freinds I gave it to them early, and they loved it. Pictures of their dogs, and of them jetskiing, and a few of their parties.

An idea for the children ...the young ones anyway
Mugs with their own image embedded. I believe Photobox do them.

A bit of a plug for DPNow - if you aren't yet a PhotoBox user, register via http://photobox.co.uk/dp-now and if you do order photos, etc., from them in future, a useful if modest percentage is earned by us.

I believe that if you are already a PhotoBox user but you don't see the DPNow logo when you are logged in, you can email them to make your account a 'DPNow' linked one.

Personally I feel that what you can get at photobox is very limited. For instance if you want a calendar you have to accept their random colours for the text headings of each page which may or may not clash completely with the photo you choose for that month AND they are pretty pricey

I hear what you are saying Sue and to some extent that may be true. However my current calendar open at December infront of me as I type is a Photobox A3 version I had done last year with my own photographs. I have always been happy with the 'random colours'. I've actually just ordered a desktop version this week to give as a gift.

If you have any better suppliers of such things I'd be keen to hear about them

I know PhotoBox are interested in feedback about their products. I'll draw their attention to this thread.
