  • Camera Lense Hire?

Just a quick one, left this a bit late in all honesty. Off to Amsterdam tomorrow and wanted to hire/beg/borrow a lense with image stability, preferably something with a little zoom ability ie a 18-200mm lense. 'IS' is quite important as I have hands that are a little bit shakey and a lot of my photos are suffering because of this lately.
So, are there any reputable hire companies in the Bucks/Middlesex area that allow in store collection?

    Thanks in advance!

P.S. Looking forward to finding some time to get some new photos uploaded to DPN, been a busy busy busy year so have had limited hobby time

I suppose I had better mention that as a side line on our Olympus community site, we now operate a hire service for Olympus DSLRs, lenses and accessories

Shameless self promotion Sir! Shame I own a Canon
Didnt get a chance to hire a lense sadly - that'll teach me for leaving it too late! Got some great photos and as always plenty have suffered a bit of a blurry effect which is a real shame but hey, I'll keep trying until I can afford the lenses I'd like to buy.
I'll check out lensesforhire.co.uk though as will be handy for finding exactly what I need and seeing how different lenses perform.
Will try and get some new photos up soon. Ordered my first print online yesterday - if it comes out as good as I hope it will then that will be my first ever profit from doing something I love, looking forward to what will come in the post next week!!

Oh dear - that's not good. As you may know we operate a hire service for Olympus E-System gear via our Olympus UK E-System User Group website. I'm pleased to say that only about 1% of our hires arrives late, in fact many more are returned late! The invoice goes in the box with the gear, and we don't normally charge a deposit either, although you would need to provide a fair amount of personal identification.

Any Olympus or other make E-System users (and we can now hire out Micro Four Thirds gear) see: http://e-group.uk.net/hire
