      [Edit]

I've actually written an article about Netbooks for photographers in What Digital Camera, should be out in the next issue in a week or two from now.

That Samsung was one of the other options I was considering, but the best screen resolution was not good enough. I wanted the ability to use 1024x768 for projecting. The MSI Wind (re-badged Advent at PC world) was the other machine I looked at which would go to 1024X768.
Having tried the Asus it seemed reasonably fast, the resolution will support an amazing 1920x1080 (don't know I will ever use it that high) user reports were all very good, it looked to me my best choice.
Wireless use appears every bit as good as my Dell laptop.
I have just sent for a 2 gig of RAM to replace the 1 gig supplied.
It will I believe fulfil what I wanted it for : namely a highly portable machine, one I could easily carry in a photo bag, long battery life, powerful enough to run software to use the camera tethered if required even outdoors in the field should I wish, to use connected to a digital projector as already mentioned, and not least view my images when and where I wanted.
My experiments show it will do all these things and more, comfortably.
