Is there a list anywhere on the site where one can see a list of past present winners of prizes which are run from time to time.? If so can someone please direct me to it.? I am sure I have asked this question before but have never received a satisfactory answer.

Re: Prize winners list ?
Hi Dennis,
The winners of the monthly competitions are announced on the competition page shortly after the competition closes. Unfortunately I have missed a couple - I will update those on Monday.
October's POTM winner was announced on http://dpnow.com/5433.html.
November's will be announced on Monday.
I hope that answers the question.Julia

Re: Prize winners list ?
Julia - With all due respects, this is not the type of competitions about which I was asking. I was referring to the lack of information about the winners of prizes such as were being offered for the month of December 08, ie Corel Paintshop Pro 12 software. There does not seem to be any indication on the site where the winners of these type of prizes are announced. There ought to be something which one could click on which would take one to the list of prize winners over the past 12 months. Unless of course I am missing something? I have searched the site high and low and have not been able to find any pointers.

Re: Prize winners list ?
The winners are announced on the individual competition pages usually shortly after the competition closes.
I apologise for missing November and December's; they were updated yesterday to show respective winners.Julia

Re: Prize winners list ?
would it not be easier to modify the existing competitions page to be a link page to all current and past comps, be they the monthly giveaway, the POTM and the salon contests? each type could be split into their own sub-box, with a brief description and 2 links (graphical?) - 1 for details, the other for results.
i did stumble upon the comps page, but with it being split into 1 month per page, is very laborious to navigate, and with there generally being one comp listed per page, very wasteful. a single links page would be much simpler to both maintain and use. pretty sure this is the kind of thing dennis is alluding to.

Re: Prize winners list ?
I think that everyone is missing the point of my original post ie I was refering to prizes not competitions.EG. such as the prize of three copies of Corel Paintshop Pro 12 which were offered as prizes open to everyone who is registered for the newsletter. Where are the names of these prize winners - can anyone tell me.? What is the point of applying if one cannot at least find out who the winners were.

Re: Prize winners list ?
nah, got the point dennis. i was just taking it further so that everyone could hit the one page and from that launch to either the details of the comp or the winner(s) of the comp / giveaway, the idea being that ALL of the comps / giveaways would be clickable from the one location. anyway, isn't a prize a reward for winning something in a competition? ;-)
i was thinking something like this....
--- DPNow's Current and Past Competitons ---
-- Monthly Giveaways --
Jan 2009 - Bag of ink - [link to details]
Dec 2008 - Corel Paintshop Pro - [link to details] [link to winners]
Nov 2008 - xyz - [link to details] [link to winners]
etc
-- Salon Contests --
xx Jan 2009 - #56 - Silhouettes - [link to forum post]
25 Dec 2008 - #55 - Suprise - [link to forum post] [link to winners post]
etc
-- POTM --
Dec 2008 [link to entries]
Nov 2008 [link to entires] [link to results]
etc etc

Re: Prize winners list ?
Julia - Thanks for providing the link to the page for the prizewinners for Dec.
However I still insist the it would be far nicer and easier if there was a permanent link somewhere on the forum that one could find easily, which when clicked would take one to a page of all the past prize winners. Something along the lines suggested by Devilgas in a post earlier in this thread.
