Buy now or wait...?
I'm in the market for two technology items (as Christmas presents for the kids - if you can still call them that when they're in their 20s!)
A Canon SLR (so he'll be able to borrow my lenses and accessories
)
A Laptop (probably a Dell Inspiron 1525 as they do it in pink!

Question is, without wishing to sound like a credit-crunch vulture, should I buy now or wait..and possibly risk the chance of stock issues? Do we think the retailers will drop prices further before Christmas?.
In terms of the SLR, I'm thinking 450D rather than 1000D? How I wish I hadn't given my 70-300mm IS to my brother earlier this year when I got my 100-400mm doh! I can't afford that as well so my boy will have to save up for one!
All this pre-supposes that I don't fall foul of credit crunch related cost-savings myself of course.......
