  • Well I've done it!

Purchased a Sigma 50 -500 lens, should be here in the morning, shame I won't out and about with it just yet, so I may have to bore you with pictures of garden birds and next doors cat. Sorry
A good tripod is next on the list.

I know you have one of these lenses how do you find it ? Besides looking in your camera bag

Have'nt got it anymore Stu , i p/ex it for a 80-400 , but it was a pin sharp lense(nikon version) bit heavy and the lense crept down unles you locked it , but i'd recommend it .
I used it on a monopod with no problem , but it's handholdable as well.

That was another lens I looked at and almost got, I decided to got for the extra reach first then if I don't need it to go that far I may do what you have done and go for the 80 - 400 OS. There are just too many lenses to choose from.

Have we seen any results from your new lens, Stu?
