  • Command prompt for a CVS Pharmacy Picture CD?

    Hello,

I got a picture CD from CVS pharmacy, and it won't load automatically. I took it back to the photo center there and it works okay on their machine and my pictures show up on it.

Does anybody know a command prompt I can use to get the pictures to show up on my computer? I forgot to ask them the last time I was there. TIA

    Hi Tia,
Try putting the CD into your CD deck then:
Click START > Computer > Right click on the CD player icon > OPEN

    It should work.

I'm using XP, and when I go thru those directions, I don't see a CD Player icon. Maybe it's not in XP?

Has your CD player worked OK up to now, because it could well have gone belly up. It should show up in "Your Computer" Do all the partitions and HD's show up? Try playing a music CD.

Do you know if the CD has been finalised ? The reason I ask is because I have recently purchased a HD recorder for my new TV and it also has a DVD player/recorder built in on to which can be copied any program which was recorded on to the hard disk. The handbook states that unless the DVD copy has been finalised it may not play on some players. One other question - what does the CD contain, is it still photo images? If so will not play automatically on some DVD players you have to select the photos with the forwaed & back buttons on the DVD controller.

Thanks for the help guys, I was able to find where on my computer the pics were, because they weren't showing up automatically. The girl at CVS told me to check another drive, I was only checking my C drive. I hit Start>Run>Browse and I was able to find the command prompt on my E drive.

            Again, thanks for the help
