  • Game Consoles or Brain Controls?

Tom eats sleeps breathes xbox, its my fault I no, but at the time it was a fun way to introduce him to technology and what it can do.
Dont get me wrong games machines are excellent and sometimes can be very educational, BUT, beware they can be the very cause of humonguss tantrums.
We now have a routine were Tom is only allowed on xbox at weekends if he has been a good boy in the week, and its only for short periods of time.
I really love playing with him on it and it is a great interactive tool.
Does anybody else have a view on this that they would like to share?
    cheers
    Ash.

Well, I think what you have done can only be a good thing Ash!
As a bit of a gamer myself (PSOne, PS2, PS3, Game Cube, PSP, Ninty DS etc etc) I am sure my little one will get into games. I like to think I too would have a similar rule.

You know he's going to end up playing them anyway. When you're not about or at friends etc.. Just make sure he does the other stuff as well. Playing out, sports, reading. Board games are still much better family games than any computer game. Just don't wrap him up in cotton wool, I know it's tempting these days but works out to be so negative in the end.

      Good Luck,

      Paul...old sod, 2 sons, 2 daughters, 2 granddaughters!
