  • Question for Pops

Pops i have a new bird visiting my garden, I think it's a Dunnock? but not sure.

I'm afraid the photos aren't very good because I couldn't get close enough.

    Hello norn iron.
Yes that's a Dunnock you have there.
They are usually seen hopping among the shrubs, grasses etc at ground level and can be absolute sods to photograph
Just occasionally they will go up onto open seed trays but I have never yet seen one feeding from a hanging feeder.

Once they have visited you and found food they will keep returning

      Thanks for your reply Pops,
I will try to get a better shot but like you say they are sods to photograph, they don't stay still for long and it's hard to get close to them.

        Hi Ken,
It might help if you can anticipate when they are going to visit and be near the location first. They do seem to favour certain spots.
