I've just bought a Lens Filter - Close Up+2 and never thought whether it would be any use for my camera a FujiFilm S6500fd. Does anybody know whether it would be any use

Re: Lens Filter - Close Up +2
Strange question to ask after you have already purchased one. I have one I use to reduce the minimum focus distance. Good for closeups of Bees, Butterfly's etc. as you can get a good size image, with the zoom extended, with out getting too close and disturbing your subject. Will also increase the power of your macro shots.Originally posted by webdragon View PostI've just bought a Lens Filter - Close Up+2 and never thought whether it would be any use for my camera a FujiFilm S6500fd. Re: Lens Filter - Close Up +2
There is a bit of a learning curve with these +2 filters. I have found that setting the focus to infinity (manual focus) and then move the camera to and fro to get the subject in focus works best. I tried auto focus etc. and got too many bin shots. DOF is very narrow so take your time practising on a few fixed objects to get used to it. Have fun, I have.
