  • Mans best friend Wellingtons

Photographed this in the Kelvingrove musium in Glasgow.

Thought it very funny, and not to say very clever.

      It's very funny.

Is it meant to be an exhibit or d'ya reckon it might just have been the result of some of the staff having bit of creative fun?

Patrick, thanks for this, I needed a good chuckle and this gave it to me. Now I'll get my wellies and take my other best friend out for a walk ( oh! yes they are women's best friend too)

I have been playing about with this picture and combined it with another and done one ot two things to make this new image.
Hope you enjoy it as much as i did making the picture.

That's brilliant Patrick - how did you do the shadow?

The shadow was the easiest bit, simply got the lasso tool and drew a rough shape that I imagined the dog/wellingtons would throw, used a light feathering then the blur tool to soften the edges at the back a little more, then made a layer and darkened to a close match of the genuine lamp post shadow. I also used the burn tool under the feet to create the softer shadows to try and get rid of that suspended in mid air look.
I wasn't sure how well it worked.

Thanks for that Patrick. I'm afraid I'm a long way down the learning curve (well, it seems that way) where PS is concerned!
