You should have a BEAUTIFUL skin with no wrinkles according to a TV programme I saw a couple of days ago.
Anything red like strawberries, raspberries and tomatoes apparently are really good for keeping wrinkles at bay ... ... I had tomatoes on toast for breakfast.
They look beautiful Stuart. I like raspberries when they look like that with a greyish bloom on them. It reminds me of when I used to pick my father's rasps on my way home from school, together with the lovely fresh peas in his allotment. I should say that was when we had to "Dig for Victory" but you wont remember that! In fact you probably don't even know what I am talking about!
No, but they did suffer a bit with mould this year due, I guess, to the excessively damp conditions. You had to pick them as soon as they were ready, if left for a couple of days they didn't look very appetising (except to the blackbirds!).
The raspberries are just about finished now but we've had a good run from just a few canes so we can't complain. All the strawberries have finished but again not a bad crop this year. Had some greengages at the weekend and the discovery apples are almost ready - not too much wasp damage yet either - come to think of it, I think I've only seen one wasp so far this "summer".

Beautiful skin - moi? don't think so! Although I'm often told I don't look my age (or was that act my age?).
We don't have fresh peas at home very often because the wife eats them all before they get to the saucepan or steamer! She's the same with home-cooked beetroot, most of it gets eaten before it gets to the table .
Dig for Victory was a bit before my time although rationing only finally ended a year after I was born. I remember the 50's (just) and 60's being fairly lean times food-wise, although I don't recall actually being hungry. I'm the oldest of 6 and there was normally just enough to go round.
My mum & dad always said that the nation were a lot healthier then (war / immediate post-war era) than they are now. I heard on the news the other day that as a nation we now throw away a third of all the food we buy which is a pretty disgusting statistic when you think about it!
