I have long been a fan of storing any web images I create on web galleries like PBase & Photobucket. Usually its the sort of thing I may want to show on forums or share with friends on IM progs etc. It is quick and convenient and the ability to copy and paste a URL or BB code into a browser is often easier than searching for a file and uploading etc.
Anyway as a result of using Photobucket today I came across, to me, a new browser which at first sight offered me the ability to upload large numbers of files to P'Bucket easily. However it has turned out to be much more than that, and I have discovered a browser that I am really impressed with. The browser is called Flock www.flock.com
It runs on the Firefox/Mozilla engine, a browser I have used by default now for a couple of years. So most of the features are familiar to me. However although it uses the extensions and plugins that FF uses it has turned out to be much more than just a FF variation.
Firstly and most obviously it will display in a special toolbar all your Photobucket or Flickr account photos as thumnails which you can easily drag and drop wherever you want on the web, sharing them with others as you want. You have the ability to sahre your gallery with other friends or indeed see theirs. Basically it is using the sharing principle so common in Flickr and other sites these days.
Then there is the built in news feed where using RSS feeds you can see daily updatesfrom your favourite sites, not to mention all sorts of other news sites on the net.
I urge you, esp if you are a Firefox user to give it a go,it will import all your favourites cookies etc from your current browser so there's no danger of losing them. Of course its infinately customisable as Firefox so you will already know its good
