  • A Real Treat

Today I had a real treat,
I have just been to a Hunter trials show with my wife who was competing, whilst roaming the course looking at fences I bumped into the official Pro photographer, Now far from being to busy to chat was full of advice and support. He even suggested I used the same fences for shots, and was willing to compare images after every one taken. Now there is no real comparison between the images of a Eos1d and my E500, his won hands down
But to have spent 6 hours in the company of such a knowledgable guy was an absolute pleasure, he even asked me to email a couple of images to see how I got on..............we'll see
At one point he was going to leave his equipment so he could run a full card to his Daughter at the entry point so she could sort out the contact sheets and said to get any he might miss.............er I think not I can make a top quality camera take bad pics
In short a really nice guy, a great day,.......I'm of to start a rather large download.

Sounds like a very interesting experience Mike! And one from those that time flies so fast
Though, I wouldn't underestimate your and your camera's abilities to take very good shots

Often, we are impressed by knowing that someone is a Pro and has a Pro equipment, but also often again we are impressed of how good shots non- pros take with non-pro equipment.

In other words, I'm more jealous of what I haven't achieve yet myself with my equipment and not so much of whom Pro with his equipment I didn't meet yet

Though, it is always nice and useful to meet advanced photographers and get some advanced advice too, as you had the luck to do yourself.
