As there do seem to be a few fireworks pics enthusiasts on here let me alert you to an excellent opportunity if you can get to Nottingham next Saturday night, the Nottingham Riverside Festival.
At 10.30pm there is a reliably fantastic fireworks display which generally lasts a good 10-15 minutes. To see a better one you'd probably need a truly national event. As fore/background you've got the River Trent, the Victoria Embankment and Trent Bridge. It looks a bit like this -
To keep you happy in the lead-up there are bands, vintage traction engines and fairground organs, fairground rides, stalls, food and several bars.
