Don't volunteer

The local conservation group wanted an open day and photo exhibition, photos to be taken on or near reserve.

No problem said bigmouth - I'll sort it.

It's been a massive task, selecting , printing and mounting. At first it seemed as though it would be a solo exhibition then I was swamped with photos, good bad and indifferent. One guy sent me a dropbox link to a folder of some 380 pictures named 'my very best photos'. Some were even in focus. Ansel Adams used to reckon he was doing well to produce 12 a year. I asked a few favours of our photo soc members and got some excellent ready mounted prints and borrowed the display stands. So I finally selected a fair cross section and put the exhibition up today for tomorrow's open day. I am still promised some more A3 ready mounted prints to fill the gaps.









I know it's unlikely but if you are in the Peterborough/Stamford area tomorrow pop in and see - the Millstone pub in Barnack is the venue.

Well you certainly had your hands full with this one Mike - congratulations on a job well done. I hope the members approve.

I would love a pie and a pint and fill my time admiring the photographs, but sadly not this time.

I have committed to a craft fair day held quarterly by our office landlords, the Paper Trail, at their visitor centre in Apsley. This will be the first time I have exhibited my work in hard copy publicly since school days!

It's at the end of June and I will post more details closer to the time.
