  • Calling plane photography enthusiasts

I have been given a brilliant opportunity to photograph airliners from the roof-top media viewing gallery at Heathrow Airport, thanks to the airport's press office. Some professional photographers specialising in this kind of photography will be present.

If you have any questions regarding photographing aircraft, please let me know and I will do my best to get some answers for you.

It would be interesting to know what type of composition they consider works best. I doubt that they will tell you what sells the most or what editors look for, but maybe you could get out of them what is considered to be the best way to take a shot of a plane?

    Thanks

Would be interested how they think about using legacy lenses. There are people who can't afford pro lenses and need those old lenses. In the old days you used manual lenses. Now, in the digital age, we use mostly auto-focus lenses but manual lenses such as the Sangyang 650-1300mm are still bought for long distance or for using at ranges where a 70-300mm isn't good enough. What about the quality of these cheap lenses?
