  • Thailand seen with my Heart and Soul

A typical Thai Restaurant where no Tourists are seen. I ate there sometimes and it tastes very Yummy. This is a place where I can get in touch with Thai-culture and people away from tourism. The stairs behind are leading to an room where a very poor family leaves. That Restaurant owner (Lady) let them stay there for free. And as Thank-you the family helps cleaning the restaurant.

It is not a secret here that I support local markets, businesses, and I will to my groccery almost all in local markets. They are the soul of the country where I live.

Very interesting to see, love the posters, the lady involved in her work. I presume looking at the stove she is involved in some form of produce from moulds.
Also she enjoys the open air.
Thanks for posting - I like it .

Interesting to see this, and to hear of the situation regarding the owner looking after others less fortunate.
I bet it is popular with the locals then.

Absolutely. I know the owner for almost 19 Years. I think she looks same nothing changed. She doesn't get older or younger. Just her mother is now very old and can't stay at the restaurant. She takes care of her mother and that is the reason why she never got married. Many women in her generation did this. Family first. Also my aunty -in-law

A modern Suzuki with a metal framed attachment added.

If it does the trick. Good.

Not sure the tyres would be road legal over here. Particularly the side car tyre.

I can vouch for this; some of the best food I have tasted has been where the locals eat. It's not grand or luxurious or air-conditioned but it's tasty and everyone is very friendly. Plus, it's amazingly good value 👍

When we visit different countries, albeit in Europe. We are always advised to eat where the locals eat, and not where the tourists go to eat.

Just been looking at photos and the photography of King Rama IX. A talented photograper.

I like your street photography, showing life in around your homestead.

It appears that two modes of transport are more popular than cars there. Yes ?

What an interesting scene, Thai-Mike. Plant life, pots and pans. Rugs. Looks like a lot of eggs in the background. Fascinating to see.

Eggs are equal important for the daily food as rice. That's why now people are sock piling eggs. Even the price is more than double than last week.
