Can the Nikon D7000 be made wireless

Hi all
Does anyone know if the Nikon D7000 can be made wireless to send images to a tablet bearing in mind the file will be in raw format?

Hi Mike, you could try EyeFi or Toshiba FlashAir wifi SD cards. The FlashAir solution is more tailored towards point to point transfer (no need for a wireless router). You also need to ensure the recipient tablet app can work with D7000 RAW files.

I was going to say try the WU-A1 wireless adapter from Nikon, but I don't know if it works with the D7000.
It works great with my D7100 for data transfer.

The WU-A1 is not compatible with the D7000. There is a WT-4 but that costs more than the camera!

I'm using the Toshiba FlashAir wifi SD card and it works very well for JPG thumbnails at laptop resolution.

There is a note in the FlashAir data that says it's compatible with the D7000

I have used the eye fi pro 8gb to send jpgs and raw from a D800 and Oly E5 to an ipad.

It is a bit flaky. it wont work if formatted in the D800 but if I format it in the E5 it works ok in the D800.

I get occasional card errors in the D800 and the E5 also loses the card occasionally. A switch on and off resolves it.

I do wonder if my card is faulty.

Niggles aside i would not be without it. It does support raw but have found the best thing to do is shoot raw to the CF card and use the wifi card to send basic jpegs to the Ipad, brilliant for proofing as you go when doing portraits etc.

I know this post is approx three years old and i come late here. Still want to share my advice. I have nikon d7000 from last year. To transfer my images from camera to PC/ Tablet i use wifi SD card. This WIFI SD card allow me to transfer file without exchanging SD card from one device to another. You can take help of nikon d7000 manual regarding how to use wifi SD card with this model
