Julia has very bravely enrolled in the Open University's Digital Photography: Creating and Sharing Better Images course, which starts in May and takes 5 months to complete.
I have persuaded her to maintain a blog of her experiences once the course is underway.
It's a distance learning course and can serve as a precursor qualification to gaining the Royal Photographic Society's Licentiateship Distinction (LRPS) in still photography. For more information about the RPS visit their website (http://www.rps.org/).
The course can also be a cotributor to gaining a degree in various other Open University courses.
Julia is already two thirds of the way through a mathematics degree with the OU and does not require the photographic course for this, but naturally it counts towards her work with me on DPNow
The course is open to both UK and foreign residents - I'd very much like to know if anyone else, yourself or anyone else you know, is considering or who has signed up for this or a similar type of course.
