Unable to Search

I was looking from a post from Ian about when he was buying a new computer, but when I searched (from Ian's page), this is what I got:

"Your submission could not be processed because a security token was missing.

If this occurred unexpectedly, please inform the administrator and describe the action you performed before you received this error."

What does this mean?

Seem to recall this being raised before. I'm sure Ian will have the full answer when he reads this.
One of those unsolvable problems at the time.

I can't help regarding the search facility. Ian or David might be able to explain or sort out that problem.

Was it this thread you were searching for? If not, try looking through the computer conundrums forum as that's probably the most likely place to find what you want.

The search box at the top right of the portal home page works fine, but there is a technical glitch with some other search options which we have extensively tried to figure out but failed so far... sorry about that!

I've had the same thing. I searched in the box that drops down under "Search" at the top-right of the forum page but got the error mentioned.

If I clicked "Advanced Search" and used the proper search page, no problem. So that's what I did.
