    Can anyone of you Natural history photographers identify this bird for me please?

    Kind of looks a bit like this one, but I don't know what it is ether. Hope someone knows.

      At first sight, I thought these were ospreys but after a quick look at the bird book I think they're common and ordinary buzzards.

      Don't get many ospreys round here in south Northamptonshire, though I was very surprised to see one between Bourton on the Water and Cheltenham at dusk one evening.

      But we do get a fair few buzzards about a 1/4 mile down the road - but never got close enough to get a photo of one as they're usually circling overhead.

        Patrick,

        Makes me think of some kind of hawk. My wife is the nature person, but we have a variety of hawks in Oklahoma.

          I think I have identified it, my wife got a RSPB book checked through and we believe it to be a Peregrine Falcon.
