  • Dodgy bug?

    I spotted this on the mat just below our indoor pot plant. I assume it`s a ladybird but has unusual markings

    Those are very good, clear pictures and I think it's one of the Harlequin ladybirds.

    There's a survey website with ID pictures HERE. There's also an online recording form on the same website if you're fairly sure about it too. Maybe send them a copy of the pics?

      This pic reminds me of counter measures I have to do in a few weeks.
      Starting end of this month or so, ladybirds, stink bugs and damselflies are all trying to come into the house. I liked ladybirds before but not that much these years...
      I just finished a fighting against hornets last week...

        Thanks for your replies, Pol I have completed the form and sent those pictures on. I remember vaguely, reading somewhere about a bad strain of ladybirds, seem like I have at least one in my garden.

          I am 99% sure that is one of the bad strain of ladybirds. If it survives it will most likely try to over winter in the house.
