This type of clouds are very common in southest Patagonia over the Chilean Andes. Regards, Horacio

Beautiful example. I taught Meteorology at the University of South Florida and was a TV Meteorologist at the NBC affiliate in Tampa. Obviously clouds were a familiar topic. One of the most fascinating formations is called ACSL (Alto Cumulus Standing Lenticular). I've never seen it myself but it certainly manifests itself in a lens-like fashion.

            Thanks for sharing that example!
