Ok, I had several reasons for posting this. One - to show off my new work station. The best part about this is you can swing it over your bed, and work in style (lazy style that is) . Well - also an excuse to dig out my camera.

Two - to try out my Canon 270EX speed light, and diffuser. This is a bounce flash shot, I used the pre-flash (FE) exposure lock button on the G12, worked out pretty good. Same one, that does exposure lock (AE) in natural light.

The little lamp has a 40 watt miniature bulb in it, just enough to offset the computer screen brightness and light up the keyboard, in a darkened room at night. Saves your eyes you know.

Looks a pretty cool and convenient setup Steve, is that a Dell 17" or smaller?

      Re: Work Station

Its a 15.5, I wished I had bought a 17. But I was trying to compramise between size, and portability.

I have an older square 17 monitor, I may have to get out and hook up to do more serious editing?. I am having a bit of problem, getting used to this 15. I find it hard to position it for the right, or true brightness level. But I had the same problem, when I first changed from a CRT to LCD.

Anyway this one was a grand, in fact a little over by the time tax was added. Its also loaded to the gills, with ram, drive size, and a dual core cpu. So I will have to live with it, but I have the same problem! when I have to change to any new technology. Hard to teach an old dog new tricks you know,
