Humble Pie

I feel I should eat humble pie.
I have been a firm critic of video in still cameras, stating if I wanted video I would buy a video camera. My G10 has it but I have never even looked at how it works.
Well I went to Slimbridge with my 7D, and had this mad moment "I will try the video" and did two short 20sec scenes.

Do you know I was thrilled with the results, and will given a subject be doing it again, it was fun and I impressed myself with the results .

My problem Patrick is that Im so engrossed in trying to acheive good still's I forget the d7000 does video, I think it might be time to explore the video capabilities, Ive heard its excellent but not quite as good as the canon's.
Its ironic to think that before I was ever into photography I really loved my video camera, it was a sony pc3 dv camera and we took it on our honeymoon, I can remember being impressed with the stills at vga resolution but still preffered video as my thinking back then was, 'well its only one frame it does not do anything'
