    Re: Upgraded to 7D

I hope you enjoy using it, as much as I enjoy using mine, Patrick.

I have owned one for around six months, and have found it to be far superior to my 50D ( Which I still have and use for macro )

I agree about the ISO. I can use higher ISO than I can with the 50D.
    Canon 7D 50D 400D Canon 300mm f4 L IS Canon 70 - 200 f2.8 L IS Sigma 150 - 500 f6.3 OS Sigma 50mm f1.4

      We'll have to start a 7D club

Looking forward to seeing how you get on with it Patrick.

        Hi Patrick -

A friend of ours is returning to the UK after spending some time abroad. On his last visit to the UK he purchased a 7D and is getting some impressive results. I hope you enjoy your new tool.

        Regards. Barr1e

          Thanks Barrie

Going to a studio photo shoot today, will post some results if I have anything I feel is worthwhile.

Just the one from the studio session using the new camera, more to follow including some experimental stuff.

This is the third EOS camera I have had the first a 10D was very good, excellent for its time, the 40D was markedly better, but this 7D is on a completely new level, the quality is outstanding.

Most pleasing result - I wish I had been there.

I'm sure it shouldn't take long to master your new camera, especially as you have used the brand before.

              Regards. Barr1e

                Hi Barrie

I meant experiment with images rather than the camera (not that I haven't been doing that as well) so here are a few more from Saturdays shoot.

                  Re: Upgraded to 7D

Congrats on getting your 7D, had mine for a few months now, and still amazed at the quality.
I'm like, you, kept my 40D as it's still a great workhorse, but can't touch the 7D when using the 300mm or 400mm primes that I use for birding/sports.
Nice studio work .... look forward to more

Lovely shots, Patrick. It's nice to have a good studio setup like that.
