  • Olympus ec 14 & 20 teleconvertors

Hi there, any one had experience using Olympus EC 14 & EC 20 tele-convertors,
I have 4 lenses 2 Leica & 2 Olympus running on a Leica Digilux 3. One of the Olympus lenses 70-300 recommends the above convertors in the literature and looking at the bayonet end, all 4 lenses look alike. Any comments or pointers would be grateful.
Does anyone have either for sale by any chance?
    Cheers
    John

The EC-14 (1.4x) only loses one stop of brightness and is much better for slower lenses. It's also a bit sharper than the EC-20 (2x). If you have a lens that is f/2.8 or faster then the EC-20 is worth a try but in general the EC-14 is the wiser choice.

Thanks for that, all the reviews lean towards the EC 14, at the price I can't take a gamble on the EC 20 Do you or anyone know if they will fit the lenses i have?
      Here are the lens details:-
      Leica 14-50mm f28-3.5
      Leica 14-150mm f3.5-5.6
Olympus 70-300mm f4-5.6 (fits this one according to literature)
      Olympus 25mm prime f2.8
Happy new year to you and everyone out there!
      John.
