BOTS on the galleries?

I was revisiting my gallery after uploading some new shots today, I noticed that my views on some are in the thousands some tens of. Are BOTS viewing the galleries or is there a glitch?

I've always wondered that as when you look at the Who's Online there are quite a few 'guests' viewing various threads.

They do a few things one of which is collect email address from sites, that's why some people put a false word in their email address that a human can remove but a bot won't see it as we do.

Example

[email protected] with false word/s added could be

[email protected] (remove teeth before emailing)

They do a few things one of which is collect email address from sites, that's why some people put a false word in their email address that a human can remove but a bot won't see it as we do.
