pm from user Serendipity

I had a very odd pm from the above mentioned user with a web link in it relating to knowldge ( I'm not including the link for obvious reasons)

Googling I find the same user and web link mentioned in a number of other forums

This post is for 2 reasons ...

if it is someone then stop being so cryptic
if (as I suspect ) it's lomething less wholesome I suggest people don't click the link and just delete

If I have inadvertantly flamed someone I will apologise and ask Ian to remove this thread. In the mean time "heads up"

Thanks for the heads up Andy.
I'll treat this as a complaint and say that if any other member complains about this sort of PM, then we will have to delete his/her account. It really serves no useful photo related purpose for anyone to PM members in what is essentially spam.

Well I didn't answer politely, as he also PM spammed one of my forums, fired off forty or so before I realised and banned him.

Spam is spam, whether it's porn, advertising or religion. If you don't ban/dump him, he'll PM every member on the forum.

PS. although it did prompt me to revisit the forum, something I haven't done for a while, so every cloud. . . .

Me too. I didn't say anything because I figured that it would be taken care of quickly. In checking the profile I saw that I wasn't the only one checking and that "current activity" was "pm'ing". So I figured that it was spam. Thanks.

I got it as well. Glad to hear their account has been deleted though!
