Re: Face time on the iPhone 4
But Josh, you can't use the video calling if you don't have wifi access, why not let users communicate using mobile data if they wish to? And why does it only work with another iPhone 4? Why shouldn't you be able to connect to a conventional webcam?
You know, Apple made such a big deal of Big Brother back in 1984 when the first Mac was launched - but they have become Big Brother, dictating what you can and can't have in a rather cynical manner in my opinion. No flash, no user changeable batteries, restrictions on apps, no video calling on mobile data, no video calling to webcams, no SD card support, no user-changeable battery ... etc.
Luckily, if like me you won't stand for that, there are plenty of alternatives.
I'm NOT anti everything Apple. I can see the appeal of iMacs an MacBooks, but they definitely aren't for everyone. But the iPhone policy that amounts to a huge long list of restrictions just stumps me.

So Ian I guess the answer is business and money and profit. As Patrick said any of the restrictions haven't stopped people queing for hours to get hold of one.
